£30 per entry plus Saturday All-day Pass
1st Trophy + £125. Trophies for 2nd and 3rd places, medals for all finalists
Open to all levels of dancer. Freestyle dancing with as many aerials as you like and have the strength for.
Rules
Air steps freestyle section is recommended for those dancers who wish to do any form or Air Steps; that means lifts, jumps, aerials acrobatic moves and so on.
There will be no minimum or maximum numbers of air steps required; just mix your air steps with your Modern Jive.
Couples will dance to music chosen by Britroc Ltd.
Judging will be based on a points system. Points will be awarded for style, musical interpretation, presentation and technique.
A definite lead and follow must be demonstrated.
Air Steps is open to anyone 16 years and over.

The Judge’s decision is final.
Britroc Ltd reserves the right to change the programme and competition if necessary without consultation.
The event will be recorded by film, video and photograph; these may be used for Britroc Ltd promotional purposes without any obligation.
Britroc Ltd accepts no responsibility for loss or injury to persons or possessions in relation to this event.
JUDGING CRITERIA
To help you get the most out of the competition the details below indicate what the judges are looking for and how you will be scored on your performance.
What the judges are looking for:
Costume Have the couple made an effort to dress up for the competition? Is there good interaction between the couple? Are they smiling? Do they look like they are having fun?
Marks available = 1 - 3
Musicality
Are the couple dancing to the style of the music? Are the moves they are doing in keeping with the rhythm and character of the music? Are the couples just dancing or are they performing the moves? Does the personality of the couple show through the moves they are dancing?
Marks available = 1 - 5
Technique.
Is the move/s technically correct? Are the moves performed with good pattern and direction? Are they using the floor well? Are they considerate to others on the floor? Is there a clear lead and follow?
Marks available = 1 - 5
Variety, Complexity.
Is there a good variation of moves? Is the difficulty and complexity of the move relevant to the category the dancers have entered? Are the moves executed correctly? Do the moves flow? Marks available = 1 - 5
Couples, trio and team will be marked individually. Not against the people you are dancing next to in your heat.
All the scores are entered into the computer and the competitors with the highest scores will be put through to the next round.
Dependent upon the number of judges the maximum score each competitor will vary. However the maximum number of points awarded to an entrant from any one judge is 18 points.
All scores will be recorded and any competitor can contact Britroc Ltd to find out how they did. They can also request feedback from the judges after the competition has ended.
